The Timeline

The timeline to obtain your green card through the EB-5 visa program typically ranges from 24 to 37 months. If you are already in the U.S. on a valid visa, you may remain in the country while your application is being processed.

In the first 4 to 5 months, you should receive approval for the I-131 (Travel) and I-765 (Employment Authorization), which are usually issued as a combined "combo card." This allows you to travel and work in the U.S. while your green card application is pending.

The next step, the I-526E approval (the EB-5 application), usually takes between 14 to 18 months. After that, it typically takes an additional 12 to 14 months to receive approval for the I-485, which grants a conditional green card.
